Cody, Wyoming is in the northwest corner of the state in the Big Horn Basin. There is lots to see when you explore this amazing area. A large portion of the land is mountain and desert wilderness with wildlife ranging from elk and moose to grizzly bears and wolves!

Cody is in Buffalo Bills Yellowstone Country and is the home of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, Buffalo Bill's historic Irma Hotel (named after Buffalo Bill's daughter), Old Trail Town (where Jeremiah Johnston is buried), the Buffalo Bill Damn, the Cody Stampede (the PCRA's "best large outdoor rodeo") and the Cody Night Rodeo held every night all summer long!

In 1896 Col. William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody founded the town of Cody, Wyoming.

Buffalo Bill was a buffalo hunter, U.S. army scout, and an Indian fighter. But he is probably best known as the man who gave the Wild West its name. He produced a colorful show called Buffalo Bill's Wild West and Congress of Rough Riders of the World, which helped create the lasting image and myth of the American West.
